South East Careers Day and Try-a-Trade

  • YOU ARE INVITED TO THE SOUTH EAST CAREERS EXPO TUESDAY  24th APRIL, 2018
  • Cranbourne Race Track
    The South East Careers Expo is the largest careers expo outside the CBD providing engaging activities and information for young people and families about future pathways in education and training.
    ·  The event is targeted to years 9-12 and will provide lots of interactive activities and information on the day.·  Over 100 exhibitors including Universities, TAFE’s, RTO’s, Government Agencies, Community Providers and much more.·  Entertainment provided by our local schools.

    ·  Lots of competitions and giveaways.

Young Parents Education Program (YPEP) 2018

This program offers young people who are pregnant or parenting:

  •  Adult learning environment
  • Child-friendly – infants in the classroom and/or quality and accessible childcare
  • Flexible delivery of curriculum – not time limited
  • Intensive parent support education and pastoral care
  • Literacy education for parents and infants
  • Multiple entry and exit points – rolling entry and exit
  • Accessible via public transport

In 2018, YPEP will operate from two separate locations, one in Cranbourne and one in Narre Warren. Students are welcome from within the South East Region (Casey, Cardinia, City of Greater Dandenong). Enrolment is via interview.

Guiding the Training Seeker

SELLEN has developed a program and resources to aid with the capacity building of training seekers to assist them in making more informed decisions when it comes to training courses and training providers. There are a range of resources in the Resource Vault freely available to assist case workers and teachers with clients/students that are seeking quality training options.
